How can I search for free text keywords?

Causaly users can perform a free text search in the Advanced search module if they cannot locate any concept name relevant to their research objectives (Figure 1).

If they want to refine for specific criteria, not fully captured by the filters on the filters panel, Causaly users can also look for keywords using the free text box in the Advanced Search and Epidemiology modules. Any keyword can be used to filter the search results e.g. for a country, age group or study design (Figure 2).

Users can construct boolean queries which allow the combination of keywords or phrases with the operators AND, NOT and OR.

Whenever the free text box is used, the system first scopes all the articles that match with the keyword search criteria and then finds the relevant relationships within these articles.
